Why I want to win Shoemoney’s Crazy Affiliate Summit West Contest 2010

By Don On December 29, 2010 Under Make Money Online, Trade Shows

Jeremy Schoemaker aka Shoemoney is having another Affiliate summit contest. Here’s what he promises to the winner:

  • A platinum pass to Affiliate Summit West.
  • 2 nights hotel accommodations paid for at host hotel.
  • $500 Airfare Reimbursement.
  • $2000 to gamble on 1 hand of blackjack (can you handle the pressure?).
  • Roll with me at Affiliate Summit.
  • A pass to the Epic Advertising Playboy Mansion Party this fall.

So here’s why I should win and go hang Jeremy to Affiliate Summit West 2011.

Since 2008 I have been fortunate enough to have been able to make Internet Marketing my full time career.  What I haven’t been able to do it take it to the next level.

I met Jeremy in San Diego at Frank Kern event and I found him very approachable and what you would call “pretty normal”.  It was kind of amazing since you tend to think most of these “guru’s” try and make themselves like celebrities.  In my five minutes or less he was very helpful and gave me a couple of quick pointers on diversifying my income stream.

I think the winner of the contest should not be somebody brand new to the industry.  Having met so many people in San Diego who had ideas but could not even get their first website up and running was amazing.  The winner should be someone who is currently working their ass off in the industry and wants to take it from a 4 figure income per month to 6 figures per month and is willing to put forth the time, effort and resources needed.  That person is me.

Because you can’t just wait for things to happen:

“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – Cocktail in one hand – chocolate/ipad/???  in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out!!”

Too many people wait for things to happen instead of making it happen.  This involves taking risk.

So not only am I willing to gamble the $2000 + $500 (my airfare was free anyway)  I’d actually be willing to through in the cost of the Platinum pass as well.  I’ve already purchased one so if I were to win I assume mine would be refunded.  If I win ½ of the winnings will go to charity.   If I lose, well we will just assume that won’t happen.

The value of this prize is not the cash it is the experience and the education gained from meeting someone like Jeremy and being able to have access to him.

Because it’s Vegas

I love Vegas.  I miss Vegas as I have not been there in 4-6 years or more.  To have the opportunity to hang out with Shoemoney would be an awesome opportunity.  I want it.  A few drinks, a few pictures, some videos….so much for what happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas.

Finally,  my goal is to ultimately teach others how to make this business work.  I have friends that have been out of work for over a year and I’m sure there are many others (hundreds, millions).  Some of them could probably make it in this industry if given the right support.  This business is not hard, but it is hard work and you need to work smart.  If they have the passion, desire and motivation then they can probably make it.  Most people think they have these traits but the reality is many don’t.
